My Latest Short Story: Song of the Night Woods

I’m happy to say my short story Song of the Night Woods was recently published by Antigonish Review.  I have been working on this story for the past five years.  Like all my writing projects, many people played a role in getting the story into its final form.  I want to thank Nancy Webb,  Ruthanne Brule, Al Long, Paula Morrow and my wife Sheila.  Each has given me valuable feedback and in so doing have helped me to realize my vision.

This is my second short story to be published, the first one in print.  The journal with the story is available for purchase as hard cover or as digital version here: Antigonish Review

A holiday musical treat for you to enjoy!

Congratulations on getting your story published, David. Some stories seem to write themselves in a few hours while others evolve over years. Either way, it’s a happy conclusion to have a story available to readers who don’t know you personally.

Thanks, Mirka Your right about having my story out there for people I’m not acquainted with taking time read it. It was also, most exciting to have the manuscript go through the submissions process and catch the eye of an editor. Both make all the hard work with it!

Congratulations David!!! And I only recently (2 mo. ago) discovered Voces8 and it was with this Ave Maria by Biebl. So pure. Transcendent. I’ve never heard such a perfect blending of voices. It is truly a gift. Thank you.

Thank you Vijaya, I found the Voces8 video last year this time. Your described their singing perfectly. How I would love to hear them in person someday. I’m happy I discovered their video on Youtube.

I’ll look for this edition of The Antigonish Review at my local library. Congratulations! My MG novel that’s coming out in the spring of 2020 had its beginnings about ten years ago – there’s been a lot of tweaking done during that decade! Happy holidays to you and yours.
